Benefits of Chandranna Pelli Kanuka Scheme
The benefits of Chandranna pelli Kanuka Scheme are given below:-
- Under this scheme, the mother of the bride is eligible for financial assistance. In case, where the mother of the bride is deceased the bride is eligible for financial assistance under this scheme.
- In the case of inter-caste marriages, financial assistance will be released to the bride.
- In marriages between the differently abled and non-differently abled person or between two differently-abled persons, the mother of the female spouse will be eligible for incentive as prescribed above.
- Financial assistance under the scheme will be released, on completion of the due verification of the applications for every quarter in February, May, August, and November to the mothers of eligible beneficiaries.
Eligibility Criteria for Bride
The eligibility criteria for applying under this scheme for the bride are given below:-
- The bride shall have completed 18 years of age, as of the date of marriage.
- The widows are not eligible for availing of the benefits under this scheme.
- The bride should have at least passed the 10th standard examination.
- The income of the family of the bride should be less than rupees 10,000 per month in rural areas and rupees 12,000 per month in urban areas.
- The land holding should be less than 3 acres of wetland and less than 10 acres of dry land or 10 acres of wet and dry land put together.
- No family member should be a government employee or pensioner. The families of sanitary workers are exempted.
- The family members of the bride should not own any four-wheeler.
- No family member of the bride should be an income tax payee.

- The Groom shall have completed 21 years of age, as of the date of marriage.
- The Groom should have atleast passed the 10th standard examination.
- The income of the family of the Groom should be less than rupees 10,000 per month in rural areas and rupees 12,000 per month in urban areas.
- The land holding should be less than 3 acres of wetland and less than 10 acres of dry land or 10 acres of wet and dry land put together.
- No family member should be a government employee or pensioner. The families of sanitary workers are exempted.
- The family members of the Groom should not own any four-wheeler.
- No family member of the bride should be an income tax payee.

The financial benefits under this scheme are given below:-
- Scheduled caste:- 1,00,000 rupees.
- Scheduled caste-inter caste:- 1,20,000 rupees.
- Scheduled Tribe:- 1,00,000 rupees.
- Scheduled Tribe-inter caste:- 1,20,000 rupees.
- Backward classes:- 50,000 rupees
- Backward classes caste:- 75,000 rupees.
- Minorities:- 1,00,000 rupees.
- Differently abled:- 1,50,000 rupees.

Process of Working
The process or working of the scheme is given below step by step:-
- Step 1:- Thirty days after being married, the bride and groom can apply for the Scheme by going to the official website and filling out the application on their own, or they can visit the DA/WEDPS in the Secretariat.
- Step 2:- The online and hard copy application forms will be sent to the WWDS/WEA.
- Step 3:- The field verification, e-KYC of the bride, groom and the mother of the bride will be done by the WEA/WDS.
- Step 4:- After this, the application will be forwarded to the MPDO/MPC.
- Step 5:- the MPDO/MPC will cross-check all the documents and will do the verification. Then the application form will be passed to the PD-DRDA.
- Step 6:- After the verification by the PD-DRDA, the application form will be transmitted to the next step validation.
- Step 7:- After the 6-step verification, the list of eligible and noneligible applicants with reasons shall be displayed at the secretariat for social audit.
- Step 8:- After this step, the approved applications will be transmitted to the district collectors for approval.
- Step 9:- After the approval of district collectors, the approved application will be forwarded to the respective state welfare corporations.
- Step 10:- The payment will be will be processed by the respective corporations to the mother of the bride/ bride, in case the mother is deceased etc.

The application process for this scheme is given below:-
- Firstly the candidates need to visit the official website of the scheme.
- Within sixty days, candidates can visit the official website and complete the application to apply for the Chandranna Pelli Kanuka Scheme.
