Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana DBT Status:- The Government of Maharashtra is continuously working for the benefit of its citizens. Recently, the state government has specially launched the scheme for the women of the State. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis earlier stated that we are working to release 1st Installment date during Raksha Bandhan Festival from August 15 to August 19. Those women who have applied for the scheme can now check the payment status, as 1st Installment date has been fixed on 17th August 2024.
Some of the eligible women had already received Rs. 3,000 for July and August during the trial run of the scheme on Wednesday. It is expected that more than one crore eligible women will start receiving financial assistance of Rs. 1,500 per month.
About Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana
Minister of Finance and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Ajit Pawar presented the state budget 2024-25 and announced the launch of the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. This scheme aims to uplift the social status of female citizens by providing financial assistance. Under this scheme, the Maharashtra Government will provide Rs. 1,500 per month to all the eligible women of the state. The government has set the allocation budget of Rs. 46,000 Crore for all the eligible women of the state who age is between 21 to 65 years old.
The eligible beneficiaries under this scheme will be the women who are married, divorced and destitute and their annual family income should be less than Rs. 2.5 Lakh. CM Fadnavis stated that the applicants who will submit the forms by August 31 shall receive the installments for July and August next month.

Eligibility Criteria
To avail the benefits under this scheme, candidates should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be permanent residents of Maharashtra State.
- Applicant must be a female citizen of the state.
- The age of the applicant should be between 21 to 65 years.
- Poor, widow, divorced, or destitute women from economically weaker sections are eligible for the scheme.
- The annual income of the family should be less than Rs. 2.5 lakh.
- The applicant should have her bank account, which is linked to an Aadhaar card and mobile number.
- No member of the woman’s family should be in a government job or an income taxpayer.
