Mhada Lottery Mumbai Registration:- The Mumbai Housing and Area Development Board has taken the initiative for the online registration and application acceptance process for the computerized draw of more than 2000 flats available in various housing projects in Mumbai. The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has been a frontrunner in social housing with a primary focus on providing affordable homes across the State of Maharashtra. Although the authority essentially constructs tenements for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Lower Income Group (LIG) categories, MHADA lottery homes are coming up for the Middle Income Group (MIG) and High Income Group (HIG) too.

MHADA lottery is a lottery on housing units conducted by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA). Mumbai Housing and Area Development Board, a unit of MHADA has announced a new lottery scheme of 2030 flats in well-known locations of the city. A total of 1,327 flats are newly constructed by MHADA, whereas 370 flats have been obtained as housing stock from developers under redevelopment projects and 333 are scattered flats from MHADA’s previous lottery schemes. The Authority has opened the application MHADA Lottery 2024 from 09 August 2024 and the last date to submit the online application will be 4 September 2024 up to 3:00 PM.

Eligibility Criteria
To be a part of this scheme, candidates should fulfill these eligibility criteria:
- Applicants must be a permanent resident of the Maharashtra State.
- The age of the applicants should be above 18 years.
- Families with annual income between Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 9 lakh are eligible to apply under the LIG category.
- For the MIG category, the annual income should range between Rs. 9 lakh to Rs. 12 lakh per year.
- The families who are earning more than Rs. 12 lakh per annum are eligible to apply under the HIG category.
Note: The annual income of a husband and wife is considered as family income. The income of an individual’s parents or siblings is not considered as family income.
