Telangana Crop Loan Waiver Status:- The Government of Telangana State has launched a loan waiver scheme for the farmers of the State to reduce the financial burden of the farmers. Under this scheme, the government intends to reduce the financial burden of the farmers. The farmers who have already applied for the loan waiver scheme can check the status. Those farmers will have their loans waived by the state government whose names will appear on the list.
On Thursday, 15th August 2024 the third and final phase of the scheme was launched and the government has released Rs. 5644.24 crore to waive loans of up to Rs. 2 lakh for about 4,46,000 lakh farmers. This scheme was a part of the six guarantees promised by the Congress Party before the last assembly elections across the state.
About Telangana Crop Loan Waiver Scheme
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana State Sri Anumula Revanth Reddy has launched Telangana Crop Loan Waiver Scheme 2024. Under this scheme, loans of up to Rs. 2 Lakh will be waived from the farmers across Telangana State. The government has announced that no matter how much land a farmer has or how much loan he has taken, the State Government is going to provide a loan waiver of up to Rs. 2 Lakh by August 15. Only those farmers who have taken the loan between December 12, 2018, and December 9, 2023, are waived under the Telangana Crop Loan waiver scheme.
On July 18, in the first phase, the government released Rs. 6089.93 crore to waive loans of up to Rs. 1 lakh for about 11,50,000 farmers. On July 30, in the second phase, the government released Rs. 6190.01 crore to waive loans of up to Rs. 1.5 lakh for about 6,40,000 farmers.

Eligibility Criteria
To avail the benefits under the scheme, candidates should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Applicant should be a permanent citizen of Telangana State.
- Applicants should be small, marginal, agricultural, or tenant farmers.
- Only those farmers who have taken the loan between December 12, 2018, and December 9, 2023, are waived.
- The loans which are taken and cleared by the farmers will not be considered.
- Loans of up to Rs. 2 lakh will be waived from the farmers.
